Meet the Hín Team

About Hín

From the moment you enter Hín you’ll see, hear and feel the difference. The high-end salon is a minimally appointed, warm space with touches of abstract, custom art presented by Tom Cross. Enjoy the space as you and your stylist work together creating your unique design, or by enhancing your current style. During your experience we have offerings of seltzer water, teas and coffee to keep you feeling pampered. On First Friday’s we keep our doors open to bond with the community and other local business owners while sharing a glass of wine.

  • Thea Cross

    OWNER, STYLIST

Hi, I’m Thea Cross-Stewart. I’m co-owner of Hin Salon, and proud to call Denver, Colorado my hometown. I discovered my passion for hairstyling through a desire to help others, foster genuine human connections, and express my creativity. My journey began at Vidal Sassoon in Santa Monica, CA—known as the “Harvard of Hair”—where I trained under some of the industry’s most elite instructors. I later expanded my expertise by attending the Westmore Academy in Los Angeles for Cosmetic Arts.

Since 2007, I’ve honed my craft in high-end salons across Denver, North Carolina, and Colorado Springs. While working in Denver, I developed and implemented an education program for junior stylists—a reflection of my belief in the power of mentorship and continued learning. I specialize in precision haircuts, perfecting the art of scissor-over-comb using only shears—the Sassoon way. My love for color, especially working with blondes, has led me to pursue advanced education throughout my career. I’ve completed multiple color and blonding programs, including Master of Balayage and advanced Goldwell Blonding in Denver. Additionally, I’m a certified DevaCurl specialist with training in Oribe curly cutting techniques. I have started my journey to become a Master Goldwell Colorist in 2023.

I’m passionate about staying inspired through continued education and attending industry hair shows. Surrounding myself with talented stylists and constantly learning is, in my view, the key to a thriving and fulfilling career.

  • Megan Cheyne

    OWNER, STYLIST

Hi! I’m Megan, co-owner of Hin in Downtown Colorado Springs. I’ve always been inspired by the power of self-expression, and hair is one of the most beautiful ways to showcase individuality. Becoming a hairdresser and eventually owning my own salon was a lifelong dream, and I feel incredibly lucky to bring that dream to life at Hin- a place that truly holds a special place in my heart. Since starting my career in 2015, I’ve been passionate about creating effortless, lived-in color, blonding, precision cuts, and razor cuts that make my clients feel like the best version of themselves.

Education has been a huge part of my journey and I’m always looking for ways to grow. I’ve trained in razor cutting, Oribe cutting and styling, Masters of Balayage, and in 2023 I started the process of becoming a Goldwell Master Colorist. Pushing myself creatively keeps me excited and constantly evolving as a stylist.

More than anything, I love this industry, and the incredible connections it fosters. I’m passionate about creating a fun, welcoming and inspiring environment where both stylists and clients can truly enjoy the experience.

When I’m not behind the chair, I’m making the most of life in Colorado with my husband and two kids, always seeking out our next adventure!
